Clifford Brown’s unique composition offers a “small-group-with-a-large-group” feel, as the A section is presented in the 2nd trumpet, 1st tenor, 1st trombone and bari sax. Each section is also spotlighted in features or background roles as well as full band Baroque interlude.  Written-out solos are then provided for those still developing their improvisatory skills, and a rousing shout chorus wraps things up.
